I am not sure you could do this with 4 colors, but I saw one that was different width strips pieced......to a little bigger than the finished size. Then you cut about 1/4 off vertically, flip it and add it back...You can also add in a sashing if you wanted.

It was adorable! And easy. You could also add a small applique to it (like an airplane, ball or flower) to spice it up a bit.

You might consider the 10 minute block. It is so easy. I've made 16 blocks in under a hour and 1/2 with 2 5" charm packs. Here is the link you can look at. She is using 10" layer cake sqaures.
Here is the link to a tutorial, remember she is using 10 inch square, the 5" charm packs make a great baby quilt.

I love this quick super-sized 9-patch one. I've made many of them for baby quilts.

You don't HAVE to use a charm pack if you don't have it just cut the yardage to the appropriate size!
Can I ask where you got your animation of the sewing happy face? CUTE! Thanks

Kay Wood has a 6-hour quilt pattern. Although it takes me more that six hours to make it. I use it a lot for baby gifts.

I had to make a baby quilt quickly and I did the pinwheels with sashing in between. Was done in less than a week. (I am pretty slow)
