    I also think it is gorgeous as is, without another border. But if you want to add one I vote for #2. Very good job, love the design and the fabrics!

    I don't know if I can explain this right, but the weight of the design seems to need the wider border and option #2 gives it a beautiful finish. You know how some pictures just look better with a more substantial frame? Always learning on this board, thanks for posting another of your great informational nuggets Jan! Wanted to add your quilt is gorgeous! Please post again when you finish.

    I vote for the second one as it adds to the overall beauty, rather than detracting from the main event 😃.

    I also like number 2. I love the way it makes the center of the quilt stand out. I think the first one is too busy

    I think the quilt is beautiful as is. If you have to make it bigger I think #2 is the way to do it. If you do not have to make it bigger I would leave it as it. It is an awesome quilt.
