I'm a Virgo and we can be really, really intensly exacting. The Perfectionist. But I learned to not demand exactness in everything when I volunteered at an elementary school and had to make seasonal posters for the classrooms. It dawned on me pretty fast that the wonderful children enjoyed the entire picture, never noticing that the circle might not be perfectly round at one area. If something really is obviously off, I redo it. Mostly I remind myself that I quilt the Amish way, No one is perfect, only the Lord is. Works.
    That's interesting. I'm a Virgo too. Hmmm

I was told it does not need to be perfect. The amoish say it's a form of art and art is not perfect.

hey Gale I had a a cousin who got under her quilt in a frame to count the hand stitches to make sure they were the same number as on top of the quilt! She has made 2 quilts over her lifetime and I have done 18 (obviously I do not handquilt any longer!) Don't sweat the small stuff, this is suppose to be fun!!!!!!!

Gale, if it's going to be entered into a juried show, then I would make sure everything was absolutely more than perfect. But seeing what that would involve, I don't plan on making a quilt to be entered in anything that involves the quilt police. :-P :-P :-P

If I could overcome the Virgo thing, there's hope for you!
