I never win BUT !!!! this time I did
I went to Hampton quilt show as usual. I stopped by the Tidewater Sew n Vac booth, they are my favorite chain of stores here locally for classes, etc and the most wonderful people. I filled out a survey and put it in the box. A week later I got a call, I won an embroidery machine. I could have fell over. It was a Brother Simplicity stand alone machine. Amazing. Its a great machine but I already have a top of the line by another company. I asked if I could trade it in for a different one and they said yes. I wanted a machine that would do what my machine will never be able to do, and it already does alot that most machines can't. If I was going to have 2 emb machines then the one thing mine would never be able to do is Disney Designs. We started going thru machines, if they didn't so Disney and have at min 5x7 hoop, they were ruled out. I found one and it was nice and then I found another one, recently out, and it does more for not that much more. I got the Inovis 3500D, it is pretty. There are lots of things mine will do that this one won't but it does what I need and now I have a back up that sews as well as emb like my other ones does. I would have loved to get the top of the line Brother that scans but not in my budget, plus I have so many extras for my Viking Diamond Deluxe, it wouldn't be cost effective to trade it in.
I know that I'm going to love my new machine, and with over 22 grandkids and great grandkids, it'll get lots of use. I have to thank Tidewater Sew n Vac so much. The people in the stores are great, they have classes all over the Hampton Roads area so if I can't make one class in a month, I can try a different store. The people in the corporate office are equally great. I'm so happy I won and just as happy they let me trade it in for an upgraded machine.
By the way, my luck is usually so bad that I'm the one person who if she found a quarter on the ground, when I bent over to pick it up, it would be super glued to the ground.

This is so me. I rarely enter anything because I know I'll be wasting my money. That being said, I've had better luck winning things at sewing/embroidery events but normally thread, a pattern, small things. This was big and on top of that they let me trade it in for what I wanted so I won twice, really. Yes, this machine has a good home and when I finaly did it, I did it good. Thanks for all the well wishes
