    And I am planning on using this technique, I have included a link to About Town...hummingbird-highway.com. I have the template needed to do the middle strip, heck I have the kit to make that quilt, too!
    I have measured my square and I think this will work out. Thanks for all of the help and ideas on my question!

    Well, it is going to be red and off white. By the way, I have figured out that off white comes in all kinds of shades.
