    sorry for the loss of a friend but " it's not a blue ribbon at a big quilt show, but I think it meant as much to me " it would have meant as much to me too. My brother was burried in a shirt i made for him he loved it so much.
    it really does mean a lot to know to know your work is appreciated.

    WOW that would mean way more to me than any color ribbon!!! Good Job!!! Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have on someone else's life Good on ya!!! and sorry for your friend's loss

    I also have a story to tell like this...one of my friends at work ordered a "Fishing" quilt for her son's 17th b'day...the quilt was done a week before his b'day but unfortunately, he was killed in a car crash before he ever got to see the gift his mother planned for him...when we went to the funeral, thye had his quilt in the casket with him...it still touches my heart...
