Good morning all !!! I have a brand new GGD and want to do a quick quilt to get sent off to her in TN, but have drawn a complete blank for inspiration. Cannot think of a cute one at all. Seems like my mind has gone off somewere else for the time being. Any suggestions? I've been doing so much applique lately that I'd like to do something pieced. Also, I don't care too much for pinwheels. Please, please, help me think.

I've never tried the D9P. Maybe this would be a good time for that. I also have some Teddy Bear fabric back there in pinks and salmons, but was afraid that would be too much of just the one color. I think maybe I am tired, and need to just give it a break for a couple of hours and try again later, but you gals are giving me some ideas. Thanx so much

I hope you dont mind my input...I am brand new here. Irish Chain...single, double or triple? Simple, cute, timeless? And you can applique if you want?

Mix cream with those pinks and salmons, perhaps with a little touch of green to make it pop?

A Hair Bows quilt. Momma always made little boys Bow Tie quilts and little girls got Hair Bow quilts(same pattern just done with girl colors) and she made the blocks about 3.5 or 4.5". If she didn't know what gender the baby was going to be she did Tumbling Blocks.

BTW there a link on here for making a Bow Tie with 5 squares and no wonky seams. It comes out three dimensional and is really cool. It will probably come up if you do a search for 3D Bow Tie.

And it's pretty - very adaptable to all sorts of fabrics, too.

What about a 4p done one point. I did one in strawberry shortcake and white and in the alternating white block I sewed a little pink satin rose in the middle of the square.
