These are beautiful fabrics! I know the quilt will be, too, and she will love it!

I love your fabrics and the colors. They are babyish ( a real word?) and will allow the quilt to be used as she grows into a little girl.

Oh, Oh. I meant to write not too babyish. I guess it is time to close the board and get some sleep. It is 5:12 AM and I haven't had any sleep, yet.

I LOVE that Wickedly Easy pattern - I've made three of them with a Texas theme and they just sparkle! They go together so fast and easy and you have a quilt top before you know it.

The pink and green are going to be so pretty - you're going to love this quilt!

But, a new machine still in the box???? What I want to know is where did you ever get that kind of willpower and how much did it cost????

I did take the machine out last night, and read through the manual about 5 times, took the shipping tape-downs off of it and all that good stuff. (took parts inventory, etc.) But then it was time for a very late dinner, and after that was cleaned up it was after 10pm, so I had to call it a night. Hopefully today I'll get to fire it up and do some test sewing, so I can start assembling the quilt in the next few days!

Welcome to Quilterholics 12 step program. Be aware that each step tends to get you higher, more excited, and spending more $, but your satisfaction rate will soar, also.

It's 11:30pm. I have had to pee for the last 2 hours, and everyone else has long since gone to bed. (Except the poor dogs who are scratching at the door to come in and eat, and the cat glaring at me from the hallway to come to bed)

BUT!! I have gotten comfortable with my (amazingly quiet) new machine, and have started assembling my blocks! Here are the partially assembled blocks! I'll work on them more tomorrow - yay!! It's progressing so nicely! I'm thrilled with the results so far!!

EDIT: Note, only PART of these blocks are sewn - they are ALL sewn AND pinned. So they're a bit 'lumpy'. :P

Love the fabric and pattern. Bookmarked it. I'm determined not to start another quilt until I finish at least 2 that I have started -- but this is such a great pattern so maybe -------

Sweet fabrics....we only have boys in our family, so I can only imagine the excitement a little girl would create. Look forward to seeing how you progress. Admire your restraint...happy quilting.
