Default I seriously want to cry...

Got my (floor model) Bernina 820QE on a 12 foot frame, dragged it home in the pouring rain Wednesday, waited patiently for hubby to put it together (all 12 feet he insisted) found it was missing some screws and supports for the 2nd 5 foot extension but the dealer found them and was lucky enough a friend was headed this way yesterday (45 minute drive) all assembled last night, loaded a practice "qulit sandwich" and ready to spend some quality time today (Sunday dealer closed ) with my new baby.

I can't get the bobbin to thread and feed right, so no stitches. Anyone have one and can maybe tell me what I'm not getting in the threading?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but sure sounds like a frustrating situation, good luck.

I don't have a Bernina but.....Is you bobbin in the bobbin case the right way? My lizzie won't work right if I put the bobbin in backward.

yes, wish it was just that. It won't let you put it in backwards. of course now that it's on the frame it's a pain you know where to work on.

Don't have one, but looked on YouTube for Bernina 820QE and there seem to be lots of videos. Maybe you can find one on basic threading. Here's one:

I would call the dealer at home, shop closed or not. She made a good profit even on the floor model. That is too much $ to spend for it to be frustrating from the get go.

My friend who has a Bernina says the machine has to be turned on before it will thread properly. My friend and I just bought a longarm Juki and it has to be turned on also, we were getting bird nesting underneath and no stitching.

I don't have a Berninia but I have friends that do. They refer to them as the Porsche's of the sewing machine world. They need adjusting but once they are adjusted, they will purrr. Just a learning curve, I hope yours gets right soon and you will be purrrring away.

Yeah, that bobbin loading on the 820 is quirky, that's why I went with the 780.

well, got it loaded, sewed a bit, skipped a bunch of stitches, then got the infamous birds nest. Now the bobbin case won't open. Back to the dealer in the morning. I'm sure it will be fine, At least I learned I was over thinking the bobbin threading. I'm sure the "porsche" didn't like crappy thread LOL.

THanks for the support ladies. I'm better now. Hubby went for take-out and I had a good stiff drink and got over myself. Tomorrow it will all be resolved.
