I just wish our Walmart would in some new fabric patterns. They just keep getting the same fabric over and over. I am grateful they still have fabric, but some new variety would be nice.

I think ALL fabric has the potential of being turned into something wonderful/beautiful no matter where you purchase it, and I have seen wonderful things come from old clothing etc. as well.
Use what ever you can find as long as you love it! :)

Speaking of fabric, I went thru the automatic carwash today. Loved the colors in the soap (purples, blues, pinks, yellows, and white) and wished I could find fabric like that and said same to DD. When I got home, I realized that not too long ago, I did buy similar colored fabric like the soap trail down the windows. DD said I was a quilting dork. I replied NOT a dork but perhaps a quilting geek. She just laughed.

Could it be that I am finally starting to tell the difference between just fabric, and quality fabric? Oh my gosh - it is like I am growing up!!

It is so exciting to go into a quilt store and FEEL the fabric. The high thread counts are just wonderful...they almost feel like silk. Unfortunately, since I so a lot of charity sewing, I cant afford to buy them for charity...but for special gifts for family and friends,,,just love it.
