What a great idea for tying a quilt! I'm going thru "thread threaders" like there's no tomorrow trying to get my yarn thru the needle's eye. I'm hitting JoAnn's asap!! Thanks again

What a GREAT idea!! I've got to try this. Back in the old days, my dad was a carpet layer. This was before they used the iron on seam stuff to put the carpet together, he used a curved needle, beeswax and carpet thread to sew the seams of the carpet together. You could NEVER see where his seams were. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm sure my dad will be watching and smiling from above :-)

I learned to do tie quilts with the curved needle and it works.

I use the curved needles, too, for tying a quilt and the long 2" straight needles for basting.

I recently discovered that my Babylock has a basting stitch. I played with it and it worked great! Maybe your machine has one.

If this works for you, maybe no one else has tried it before and you may even be passing along something that is easier than some are useing now. .
