    What a great idea for tying a quilt! I'm going thru "thread threaders" like there's no tomorrow trying to get my yarn thru the needle's eye. I'm hitting JoAnn's asap!! Thanks again :lol:

    What a GREAT idea!! I've got to try this. Back in the old days, my dad was a carpet layer. This was before they used the iron on seam stuff to put the carpet together, he used a curved needle, beeswax and carpet thread to sew the seams of the carpet together. You could NEVER see where his seams were. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm sure my dad will be watching and smiling from above :-)

    I use the curved needles, too, for tying a quilt and the long 2" straight needles for basting.

    I recently discovered that my Babylock has a basting stitch. I played with it and it worked great! Maybe your machine has one.
