While DH may be a little upset, pointing out how much you saved in shipping costs alone, might lessen the blow. Maybe. Maybe a special dinner with all his favorites when he comes home might help, a bottle of his favorite wine, etc. When my DH and I first met I had limited resources, so I would always look for sales to help keep my budget in line. Apparently he thought I went a little overboard because he told me "I think you'd buy an elephant if it were on sale.!!" I've been collecting elephants and fabric, ever since. LOL

Well I have to confess a few years ago we had a Military posting to the USA
I was jumping around like I had just won the first prize in beauty show...
a stunning beauty I am not...my husband ask what I was so excited about
I said "do know its the cheapest place on earth to buy quilting fabric"
Well when we packed to go and the removalist came to collect our boxes, 60
were sent from Australia and 270 came back home Mostly filled with fabric I
have had a wonderful time sewing ever since...
You just enjoy you fabrics when they arrive home Cathy

Lol! My DH is my Fabric Mule too and the only thing that saves his back is that there is a Luggage Allowance he has to stick to (more or less.........).
In fact, when he was in Houston last year I discovered Walmart's 'Ship to Store' and had him collect not only notions etc for me, but Lego for DGS and the holdall to put it all in!
As for the June Tailor Shape Cut he had to hand carry all the way without bending (as well as trying to find the Airport Shuttle bus he left it on)...................
