Sounds like you have found some birds of a feather....glad you had a good time. The guild in my city has its last meeting in June then starts up in September. I think I am going to go to the September meeting.

You're fortunate to have found such a great group of quilters. I used to belong to a quilt guild with over 100 members, and there was no sense of a fun group of people like you seem to have found. Sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun in this group. Lucky you.

I really enjoy the guild I belong to. At first I wondered if I would really get into the group. Seemed everyone knew so much about quilting and things they were discussing overwhelmed me. My friend and I kept going and I really enjoy it. We have 5" square exchanges, we have strip exchanges, we make quilts for charity, we have contests based on a theme, we go on bus trips, and so much more. I have been a co-chair of the library, co-chair of second hand treasures at our quilt guild show, co-chair of the 5" square exchanges, co-chair of travel, and this year I will be treasurer along with all the other things I listed. Just offer to help do something and you will get to know so many people. You can take it slow and only do what interests you.

Thanks for your post. Maybe I will put away my shy and go to one since yours sounds like so much fun. I also would love to see a bigger picture of your avatar. That looks lovely and interesting what I can see of it.
