    Default Ideal workshop sewing machine

Where can I buy a Janome Gem machine? Which one is the best to buy and why? I want a light weight machine that I can carry to classes without putting my back out. I live in Maine and can't seem to find a dealer here. Any information that you can give me will be appreciated.

You can buy the basic model off of Amazon for 199.00. Just would depend on what you will use it for.

I bought a small Janome machine at Hancock's for when I need to take a machine for charity sewing. I really like that little machine and I have taught several girls on it. It's the 8050...not a lot of bells and whistles but great for what I use it for.

There is a Janome dealer in Madison and I believe there is one is Trenton Maine as well. I found this on the Janome site,
http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/...us=50&state=ME. I have been to Fabric Garden in Madison. Its a lovely store.

If you can wait...go to the Quilt show in Augusta this summer. You will probably get good deals there
Maine Quilts is the show name I believe You might also be able to find a dealer to give you service in the future.

Holice is right. The Fabric Garden is a big sponsor of the Maine Quilt Show. It's at the end of July or very beginning of August. I believe Tony's in Biddeford sells Janome's. you can Google for his website. There's also my dealer in N.H. If you don't mind a drive and no sales tax. Bittersweet in Penacook or Boscawen. Not affiliated, just a happy customer. HSN also had Janomes on tv this week, maybe check their site.
