    Default Ideas for layer cake

I got a beautiful layer cake for Christmas, but I haven't yet found the perfect pattern for it. If you have a favorite layer cake pattern, would you share the name of it with me?

    Thanks,
    Dina

You didn't tell us which layercake you got, but if it has lights and darks, Bonnie Hunter has a Delectable Mountains pattern that can be made with a layer cake. Check out quiltville.com.

Stacked Squares from the moda bake shop uses layer cakes and jelly rolls for a fun pattern. A more modern style quilt.

Ruby, Pearl and Opal Quilt from Moda Bakeshop is really nice. Only quilt I've made more than once, and also one I will recommend to new quilters.

Here are all of MSQC videos listed. I was thinking the Illusion quilt might be fun for you since I don't think you have done one yet.

I had to put the Delectable Mountains by Bonnie Hunt on the back burner and that is perfect for a layer cake. Have fun!!

I didn't even think of saying which layer cake!! It is Artisan Spirit Ambience Tiles by Northcott, basically beautiful purple and lavendar fabrics. I will look at all of these ideas. Thanks.

You are right. I haven't made the Illusion quilt. That might be the one. I will have to look at my layer cake harder. I scanned MSQC videos earlier, but I was in a hurry and thought the "perfect" one mitt show up. I need to slow down, look at all the suggestions, and figure out what I really want.

    Thanks!
