My first impression was to take one block and make a wall hanging for your veterinarian's office. (My son is a veterinarian.) I found some fabric at Joann's too in January that had cats climbing all over curtains, sewing machines and a dress form. I used some paw print fabric to make a table runner with the cat fabric.

    Hi MollySue,

I used the darker set of those same cats in a wallhanging for a friend.

I have a few of the lighter cats I am going to use in another piece later this year.

Perhaps this photo will be useful to you.

I can get you some of the lighter background (cream with small colored leaves) if you want it. Look in the flying geese and the cream color in some of the patch blocks.

Our shop has some left on a bolt in the 1/2 off rack.

I can also "loan you the Pattern" if you like the layout, geese, and patch sets. I like to support copyrights. I believe in designers getting their investment back. I could mail it to you and you could return it when done.

    Aardie.

    MollySue,

I cut them saving as close to a 1/4 inch of the cream color as possible, so that I could sew the seam just up-to the outer gold stripe color. That way, each block was bordered in gold rim/trim.

Then sewed on a second color sashing to bring the blocks out to a standard size for fitting into a pattern.

Added flying geese and various sets of patches, my wall hanging used at least 7 or 8 coordinated fat quarters, but you could use fat eighths for most.

    Aardie.

Aardie - I totally LOVE it!!! I'll pm you with my address, and I will send the pattern back to you!
    Thanks so much!!

And for others who asked where I got it from - JoAnns. I think I bought it in maybe January? So I'm guessing they may still have it.
    :)

Beautiful wall hanging aardvark...I have this panel too but the squares are not square...looks like either the cloth is not square or the design is printed on crooked...any ideas??

I did the same thing she did- added a fabric border to square the blocks up. It worked well. :)
