    IMHO, a pattern that is just right for the period and the fabric would be all over diamonds, using 3-4 of those fabrics.

    This us what I meant. If you sew strips then cut diamonds, it would be easier than it looks. Use a plain border of one of your fabrics.
    PS bottom row, next from right should be turquoise.

    No idea on making a quilt, but I looked at the material and had a instant flash-back to the drapes in the front room in a home we had in Calif in the early 60's.
