    My 40 year old DD is going to run her 1st marathon in a few months! Please help me think of a quilt design to celebrate this big step in her life. Thx

    What does she like? Modern, traditional? favorite colors? Do you want it related to marathon running or will a different pattern do?

    I would include 26 blocks (one for each mile). I would do 25 blocks on front and one on back. What state is she running in? Maybe do a block that has the name of that state in its name.

    What about a T-shirt quilt, if she has T-shirts from other "sporty" events.

    You could do Warm Wishes with a running shoe fabric as the focal fabric.
