Yesterday, my cousin had a baby girl. Today, the baby passed away. Has anyone ever made a memory quilt or something for an "angel baby"?
Please post pictures if you have. I'd like to make something special for my cousin. Thank you.

(((HUGS))) I am so sorry to hear this (((HUGS)))
Yes, memory quilts made with angel motifs, out of babies clothes...
I would find out first if she would want a quilt of this nature, some do and some don't.
She may appreciate a different type of quilt, though.

Maybe you can make a really quick quilt for the baby to be wrapped in for burial....

What a heartbreak! I liked the idea of one to wrap the baby in for burial. Check with your cousin. She will need your love and support and it sounds like you are already there for her.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this.

You might try Google for ideas. Search ideas for when a child is born still, as well.

I used to belong to a forum with a large number of women whose children did not survive (late miscarriage, born still or died in infancy), and every one of them appreciated remembrance of their babies. These children are just as much members of their families as any living children, and it is a testament to your good heart that you are thinking of remembering her in this way.

Peace to you and your family.

What tragic news. I have made several quilts for others when someone in their family dies. I use their clothes and have made bow tie quilts, scrap quilts, and ones with stars. If you have any photos of the baby, those can be scanned on to "fabric paper" such as Printed Treasures by Milliken or EQ Printables by The Electric Quilt Company. I'm sorry that I don't have any photos to share of quilts I've done this way.
