Default Ideas for a quilt label for a wedding quilt

I have just finished a quilt for my niece and want to put a label on it. Needs something wedding related. Any ideas other than their names and date, etc.

I did the Lover's Knot in batiks from Eleanor Burns and loved how it turned out.

    Any help is appreciated.

Do you have an embroidery machine? You can come up with ideas from that, but I always try to make my own. I will put hearts on the outside edge. I also do a lot of mine in my own hand writing. That way, the grandkids can say, "This was written in my Granny's own handwriting." I also try to name the quilt, put the name of the bride and groom, and my name, such as Lovingly made by Granny Dee, and then the date of the wedding. Good luck.

I have emb design of car with 'just married' and tin cans attached to back. It would be precious with names and date...but for the life of me, I cannot remember where I got it! Maybe a "wedding designs" search on Google?

As Twinkie said, hearts. Or bells or doves or outline of wedding couple. I like a nice border. I add their names, date of event, made by and any other info you might like. My labels are sometimes a bit larger, depends on what I want to put on them. Get out a pencil and paper and start doodling!

My friend always names her quilts and then designs a label around it. I have adopted that method for a few quilts, but not all. How about something to do with lover's knot/ tying the knot? Then the design might flow out of that?

I think that the way to go is if you don't have an embroidery machine, find a friend who does. You do want to make a special label for that kind of occasion. Really like all the ideas that members have posted, especially the tin cans.

I did a wedding quilt last year and incorporated the couples engagement announcement on the back.

I just had a label made for me by Dawn (sewnswer2) for a wedding quilt that Leesa is quilting for me. Here is a picture of the label -

I don't know if you can read the verse at the top.

Remember that each day is a stitch in the patchwork of life,
a new patch begins on this day as you become husband and wife.

I thought it was so appropriate for a wedding quilt.
