Blades for her rotary cutter , we a all guilty of not changing them enough... If she has some extras .. she might treat herself to changing them more often.

What about a "personal" gift certificate for you and her a special day of a nice lunch and a road trip of her choosing that she normally wouldn't do herself.

Some nice non greasy hand lotion

Magazine subscription to her favorite quilting spot

gift certificate for a online class

to deedum post #18: Your reply concerns me. You say you don't want to give a gift certificate becuse she will only use it to buy "stuff". If she loves "stuff" it's her choice once you give the certificate. When I retired several years ago I received lots of items I still treasure and use. I also received a good supply of gift cards to a fabric store, which I could then use to buy sewing "stuff" of my choice. Keep in mind that you are giving the gift to your friend to enjoy, her way.

This will probably sound silly, but here goes. I wish some one would make me a quilt for MY bed. I have been quilting since the mid 70's. Everyone in my family has quilts I made. The quilt on my bed I bought from Bed, Bath and beyond. This year I made 8 Queen size quilts and one full size (gifts for family). I would love it, if I was given a Quilt. LOL

What about a third hand. That little bird you clamp to a table and use the beak to hold fabric as third hand.

Make one of those sewing "aprons" that fit under the sewing machine and hand down in front with pockets for keeping the most used items handy. There are free patterns on the internet that I have seen.

I immediately thought of a nice arrangement of thread colors, perhaps in one of the little fabric boxes. I think everyone would like threads. I just bought one of the color pallets from Connecting Threads along with some neutrals and I was like a kid in a candy shop when they came.
