As we get older the gift of time is really appreciated. Instead of my more "stuff" how about a day together with lunch and a trip to the LQS? You could take brunch to her home and spend time just visiting and looking at her quilts or books or magazines for project ideas. She might enjoy teaching you a skill she has perfected. Time was the thing my mom always wanted and I now wish I had given more freely.

I just saw these in Anniescatalog.com. I have been sewing for 50 years and I am so excited about getting myself one of these.

I really love this idea. I have been sewing for 50 years also and most of the people in my family give handmade gifts to others but because I sew, crochet and knit, they don't give me handmade things and I really would appreciate anything handmade from someone else. Sigh!!!

    LOL
Me too! I would love to have someone make me a quilt for my bed.

want a gift certificate more than anything else anyone could buy me for my sewing studio, Im picky about the color pallet for quilts and I have a few favorite patterns, and honestly what I would buy is fabric of my choice, fat-quarter Shop is a great place or maybe Nancy's notions for stuff other that fabric but with great selection or maybe someplace like Joann Fabrics....just my two cents :-)

Clover Wonder Clips are a plus, I have them and hardly ever use pin's anymore. And the Thread Catcher Pin Cushion is a great idea too.

Hi, some have suggested maybe a lunch out and a visit to a quilt shop to spend on whatever she would like. The gift of time is always so precious so if you ae close enough I think that would be lovely.Letty x
