Default Identify this quilt?

Can anyone provide the pattern name for this handsome design? (I think it would look good in blocks with 10, rather than 5, strips also.)

Looks like a rail fence set on point. If you up the number of strips, you will have to go with an odd number to keep the colored print on the outside, so instead of 10 you would go with 9 or 11. Depending on the width of the strips, you'd need to cut the block a lot larger and you may loose the overall effect.

It looks similar to Bonnie Hunter's Basket Weave Strings quilt. She uses uneven strips for hers but you could use measured strips. You can find her Free Pattern on her site www.quiltville.blogspot.ca

Good point about the odd number of pieces. On point, it has a distinct basket-weave look. I thought that effect might be enhanced by having blocks the same size but with skinnier strips (9 of them, for example).

ETA: Tartan posted at the same time. Thanks for the link.

How about seven strips, two colors, and reversing the order of the strips when you reverse direction? In other words, in the yellow and white version, the outside bars would be white for the blocks that tip left and yellow for the ones that tip right. I think it would enhance the basket-weave effect.

    You mean like this?

Hmmm. Let's try it in the 5-strip version.

I dunno, I don't think it adds much. What do you think?
