One of the first things I would do is make a quilt for HIM (if I haven't already!).

i showed my hubby a machine at the quilt store that was a trade in it was only a
few hundred dollars ( little gem gold) . well i ended up walked out with the 6500. he said if you want to sew then you can sew on this one. it is much better. he will never say know to anything that i want so i have to be careful when i am around him and say oh i want this or that as if he dont get it on the spot then he sends our daughter down to get it for me. he is now looking for a long arm for me. he will show me one and i have to tell him why i cant use that one. or what i dont like about it and he keeps looking for me. mind you he knows nothing about a long arm or any machine. he is only that he knows that i love to quilt and sew. that is good enough for him to get it for me. oh ya he wants things also like a 65 dollar park pass and a three dollar can of worms to go fishing. as he already has a 30 year old fly rod he loves. he dont like the new ones at there too expensive lol all of 100 or so. i have a keeper for sure. he does the same thing with my girls all over 36years old.( there his step girls ) if they want something he will tell me to go and get it. something there own father would never do. i am the one that has to say wait the gas bill has to be paid. lol thanks for asking this question.

I would be thrilled at first, and then I'd be mad at him spending that much money. Maybe if he got a deal on ebay, then I'd be ecstatic.

...all of the above. Q: you're not complaining are you???? Do the happy dance, enjoy the machine, and closely watch hubby for other unusual activities! I'm jealous!!!

Mine came home with a Brother 4000 for Christmas of 2007 after I said I'd love to embroider small designs on clothes of my 1st grand daughter not yet born at that time. Have to say I have never enjoyed a gift more....even though if I had gone out to buy one for myself I would never have spent that amount of money on myself.

But seriously, if I didn't have one, I would be overjoyed and absolutely thrilled.
