By any means, if you are anywhere near Hancock's of Paducah go go go. It can be overwhelming, even if you know what you are looking for, you will probably leave with soooo much more. The people there are so friendly and so accomodating. They have fabric, books, thread, kits etc. Remember they are not connected with hancock fabrics at all. They are privately owned and like I said very friendly. They also ship so if you don't have the space while traveling they will ship your purchases. I am not affiliated with them whatsoever but I do recommend the place to anyone who likes quilting or sewing.
I go whenever we travel that direction. Love the place.

I have never been, but I have friends who have and they all tell me that it is totally worth it. Go across the bridge, you won't regret it.

If you have ever seen their catalogue you would know it is heaven for quilters looking for fabric. the misconception is that it is part of Hancock Fabrics and that is wrong. This is an entirely different store and it is huge!! Well worth the trip!

If you've never been there, it is MORE than worth your time to go to the National Quilt Museum. If I had to pick between that and Hancocks, I'd do the museum because you can find fabric lots of places and online, but the museum is special. However, by all means do both if you can!

go to http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/ and have a look at what they carry. I was there once when we went to the AQs quilt show and it was a great place to shop. I am in Ohio so I order from the catalogue or on line.

this is not the Hancocks that used to be Minnesota Fabrics.
