Default If You Can't Decide How To Quilt It This May Help

I am quilting my 2103 BOTM quilt. I couldn't remember the name of the blocks so I could see some samples of how the block looks in different colors. I used the photo software on my phone and changed the picture to "sketch" and the design immediately popped out at me! You may be able to use Black and White too. This is also a good way to choose values when auditioning fabric.

You may already have a good phone app. If not, I used Photo 360 downloaded free from the app store. I chose "effects" on the bottom menu and then "sketch".

I also just thought of the obvious thing I should have thought of immediately -- I can go back to the thread on this block and find the original patterns. DUH.

    Oh well, tis the season!

    Merry Christmas!

Sounds intriguing! Are you thinking of quilting each block differently in the quilt?

Yes, that is what I do when selecting fabric for a Bargello quilt. I have an older Adobe Photo Deluxe and it allows me to simply change any photo to B/W.

I'm just sort of echo quilting the lines in the main design, but it was hard to see what I wanted to pop out and which way to place the lines to make that happen!

I haven't decided what to do with the edges outside the main design yet. I'm thinking just round circles since the designs have straight lines and I don't want to detract from them.

Definitely sounds like an interesting idea.
