Just one would have to be a quilt pattern called, "Private Retreat".
It was done in navy with roses and is gorgeous.
I love roses and I love pinks and reds together and on the navy...divine.
I would however, have a faint about all the other luscious lovelies I want to do that I wouldn't be able to.
Quilters are dreamers after all. In so many ways, we make dreams come true ;)

nine patch of jewel toned blue, purple, deep green satins and velvets, joined with feather stitches with heavy gold thread, 4 inches of gold fringe all around.
Or a dresden plate in bright florals
or a memory quilt with b&w and sepia photos
or blocks of hand embroidered flowers alternated with heavily quilted plain blocks all on unbleached muslin
or a whole cloth satin with a huge rose centered
or appliqued siluettes (sp?) of gay nineties men and women
or a jeans quilt, with blocks includig intact flys, pockets and belt loops
all queen size or .... or....or....
how can one decide???

I would keep the scrap quilt my grandmother made. She died when I was little (4-5) and I am in my 60s now. It is heavier than all get out. She was a seamstress for the wealthy, and made use of the scraps from their clothing, and whatever was usable at home. My favorite patches have rub marks from when I was little (velvet squares).

I've been collecting fabric for a Dear Jane Quilt and an applique Little Women Quilt. The Little women quilt is an applique quilt that a woman started years ago in Texas and I bought at an Estate Sale.
