I know what you mean about wishing to sew with mom.

Definitely Patsey Thompson, Leah Day and Elanore Burns, they all seem to be genuinely nice people and all have awesome talents

My Grandmother and my Mom. Both were magical seamtresses and both did beautiful handwork. My Grandmother was a quilter from the time she was about 10 years old.

I would choose both of my grandmothers, maybe not together as they probably had some different ideas.
My father's mother quilted by machine in the 40's and 50's. Nothing fancy, but on the treadle.
My mother's mother handquilted in a quilt frame that took almost the entire living room to use.
    They both machine pieced.
I'd love to spend a day sewing with them. I never had that opportunity.

I agree! Leah has done a lot to promote quilting on domestic machines. She is a goddess! My number 2 would be Jinny Beyer.

Sharon Shamble, I just finished a Ginny Beyer table topper in Sharons method of putting the top, batting and backing together together with boards, I did not have boards I used 3 foot rulers, My table topper went together perfect , 60 degree angles, and hand basting, I always use pins and my husband thinks I am so smart , it turned out beautiful , I am so blessed I am taking a class with her at quilting at the LAKE IN JANUARY LEARING HOW TO DO FEATHERS, CAN'T WAIT, SO EXCITED, :D

I would like to quilt and spend one day with someone that I have yet to meet in person only know her through QB. Gagamarks has a love for the sea like I do. I would like to go to spend the day with her near the sea and spend the day quilting and walking on the beach.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I would love to visit with Alex Anderson. She's the reason I got into quilting in the first place. I would really get a chance to have her show me how to hand quilt.
