My husband moved to AR for work a month before I did. (I was doing the dresses for a wedding in the family and packing the house.) He had about 10 days to go to his new job.
By the time I arrived he had found all the LQS's within 50 miles and took me to all of them so I could find them on my own.

So, that felt like a trick question, of course I stop. Can't resist either.

I always want to stop but my DH is not always so agreeable.I guess he still hasn't gotten over the day I returned from our LQS and told him I had put $1000 deposit on a sewing machine and was going back in a week to pick it up. Hmm...maybe I should have warned him in advance, but I had been talking about and needing/wanting a new machine for years. I do really love to visit shops outside my area, it always amazes me how each shop has a personality all its own.

Funny thing...must be the OnStar in my Hummer. All along I thought it was me!! Whew... Glad I know better now. But wait.. I don't subscribe to the OnStar! Must be a glitch. :P

I used to travel a lot for work, so every time I would fly out in the afternoon, I would make a point of spending the morning visiting all of the local quilt shops. I still have some fantastic finds from them!

Nowadays... we don't actually have a car, and we don't have any good local quilt shops, so once a year I convince my DH to take a train trip to the next city over with a good one!
