My birthday is tomorrow and I got some money to spend was thinking of spending it either on Connecting Threads or fabric.com, what would you buy if you had $100 to spend on anything you wanted to do with quilting?

I would go for Fabric.com... bigger selection than Connecting Threads. Don't forget the backings.

I just bought the Neutral Love fabrics from CT. They are very nice. CT quilt kits are very generous with fabric.

For me, it's TOOLS. I love me some fancy rulers! My last big splurge-gift to myself was the gigantic June Tailor "shape cut" ruler that cuts 2-1/2" strips. It's big enough that I can line it up on folded yardage once and then cut 8 strips WOF without having to move the ruler. My next bargello is going to be SO EASY to cut!! I love those shape cut rulers, I wish I had the money and space to have ALL of them!

If you're looking to buy a quilt kit, I was actually just eyeing this one at CT: http://www.connectingthreads.com/kit...it__D5736.html I think that quilt is lovely, but I never buy kits....I might just have to reverse-engineer that one and make it from my stash.

You might also consider www.marshalldrygoods.com I have several planned projects needing batiks. That's what I would go for.

I love Connecting Threads but would spend the $100 at Fabric.com. I think they have a great fabric selection to choose from. Or you could spend $50 at each place and still get free shipping! Don't forget to look for coupon codes to make your $$$ go even farther.

I would choose fabric.com because I feel I get more for my money. If you do use fabric.com, remember to Google their coupon codes as you can often get 10% or sometimes even more off your total.

Probably a new die for my accuquilt and then the rest on the fabrics I need for 2 double wedding ring quilts, or my husbands birthday quilt. One or the other!
