I'd probably buy boxes to ship out the dolls I make and we give away to children with devastating medical conditions. (Mostly with cancer)

I was just checking and it was $117 for 25 boxes for girl dolls and 25 of boy dolls before state tax and P&H.

Otherwise think I'd get an Olfa cutting mat (LARGE) and maybe a baby quilt kit. Expecting number 16 in September, just got number 14, and # 15 due next month.

Anyway, that is what I would do.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes!

I ended up ordering 11 yards of fabric for my stash and some rag quilt scissors from fabric.com. I will try and post picks when it comes!

Or, you could shop at a family owned quilt shop, get far better fabrics than you can find at either Amazon (fabric.com) or CT, and know that you're helping a small business survive instead of funding a giant corporation in their attempt to drive all the small shops out of business. Lots of small shops have great shipping deals as well.

    Just sayin'

We have no local fabric stores except fabricland and their prices are ridiculous. We pay about $22 per meter here, the one shop we did have had rude staff so never shopped there. Shopping online is much cheaper, i will support local business when I can but when you have rude and unhelpful employees I refuse to deal with that.

99% of all online shops are small family-owned businesses that are trying to survive against 3 or 4 big corporate online giants. And the small shops carry better fabrics, have great prices, good shipping deals and fantastic customer service for the most part.

Try some of them out, why be limited to the biggies?

Don't know if $100 would cover it, but.. I'd love to have one of those Ott (?) brand free standing lights.

Why are you assuming to begin with that I only shop at the Biggies as you call them? I shop at all different places depending on what I want, I'm in Canada and have limited sites that have decent shipping.

I would look at both and find what you like - fabric.com can have great specials - but also look at hancocks-paducah - they have some great sales sometimes. I like to look on Etsy also - they have tons of fabric shops - some of them are lower priced than others. Sounds like fun figuring it out - either way you get to go fabric shopping - Woo hoo...
