The yardage sounds good to me.

I would go for the yardage. It seems as if I am always running out of a fabric, and that would be less of a problem with yardage. Plus I'd have SCRAPS for leftovers, and I love scraps!

I'm with the more for your money, bigger bang for the buck, etc. group!!! Plus with the 2 yardage pieces, you can cut a border and binding!!

I would choose the yardage for sometime in the future, I always feel limited with fat quarters

a set of 8 one-yard pieces (no choice but it is a pre-made pack so I can see the fabrics in it) plus two more yards of my choice. So no more than 10 different fabrics but more of each one.

I'd choose the 8 one-yard pieces with the 2-yard bonus. It seems more versatile to me.

what kind of quilts do you like to make? If scrappy then choose the fat quarters but if not then choose the ardage. I personally would choos ethe yardage since it is easy to add fabric if needed. 10yds of fabric is a lot of fabric for 1 quilt so you would probably get 2 out of that yardage. A quilting teacher once told me hat you should not choose all fabric from 1 line but rather some from other lines so quilt will pop.

I think you made a wise decision, especially when you get more fabric with the yardage for the same price as the fat quarters. I think half-yard fabric is a better buy than fat quarters. imho...
