    No, you can find excellent featherweights with case and attachments for less the $400. Keep looking.

    Another no here. Same reasons as the others and also they are very easy to fix up and maintain yourself.

    No. That is the most expensive price for one that I have heard of.

    you should be able to find one cheaper but also depends on what you want I know a lady that buys them refurbishes them then sells for 1000.00 dollars however I got mine off ebay for 285.00 then took it to my local dealer and he made a new one out of it for 80.00 dollars good luck on whatever you decide

    NO WAY! There isn't much that can go wrong with them unless you would run over them with a truck ~ keep looking they truly are out there for a whole lot less money. I have two one I paid $75 for and one $275 the cheaper one had no bobbin case but found one on e-bay the second one came with everything including the instruction manual.
