I got a 100 steel bobbins shipped to me in a padded envelope. Last needles I got were sewed inside a sheet of paper folded over and put into a regulare envelope. That one cost $2. from Canada.

I've found the shipping cost is related to the total of the purchase, regardless of weight.

ROFL. Kitsie, I think you will love Roxanne needles. Are they for quilting?
I bought the basting needles and love them.

I really get annoyed when I have to return something !! Not going to buy from catalogs or online where I can't return to a store or only if they have free return shipping !!! I did find out that you could bundle into one pkg. and it would only cost the one so that was a help !

I also wondered why they have to ship small items in such big boxes. It is so wasteful. Maybe if they use bigger boxes, they can charge more for supplies. Look at it this way, at least you have a small box to send stuff out in the mail if you needed to.

The needles couldn't have cost much more that the shipping, unless you ordered lots of them. Not the postal services fault but you still had it to pay. A smaller container would not have cost you so much. Who did you order from, so I want make the same mistake?
