Default I'm about to purchase a new sewing/embroidery machine.......

I'm about to purchase a new sewing/embroidery machine and I'm looking at the Brother Duetta 4500D. Does anyone else have it and what do you think? I saw it online for about $5,000.

I don't have the Duetta however I have the Innovis 80 and love it. I have always had good luck with Brother products. I asked for a new serger for Christmas and it is a Brother. Again I am thrilled. Enjoy your new baby.

Before you choose, look at some of the other manufactures - like Bernina, Janome, etc. You may find a good buy on a gently used machine that will offer more features than Brother.

I have the Duetta, I have had mine about 4 years. I love my machine, I also have the quilting upgrade too. I have embroidered, quilted and made lots of things on this machine. I have never had any trouble out of it either. It has 4 hoops with it. I use the 5x7 and 7x12 the most. It is very user friendly and I love that I can wind a bobbin while I a I'm sewing. It also beeps and stops when your bobbin is low. Good luck on your decision, You can check out other machines for that price and compare them to what they do, and what you want to do.

I have the Brother 4000, which is one under the Duetta and I love it! Never any problems, and it does way more than I ever needed it to. You can also get PE design software for it and WOW! I'd definitely go for the Duetta. Brothers are so easy to use, and most often trouble free for years of sewing!
