You can by a really good Singer Featherweight on E-bay - and Singer parts are still available. Some are in great condition, some need work. It's buyer beware. I see women bring then to quilting classes all the time. But be careful...E-bay can be addicting.

My Singer is about 25 yrs old and I love it, mostly. What I'd lke is a newer quilting one with the larger throat area for more convenience for me. That being said, however, I don't have the $$$ to cough up right now for a new machine so I use my Zoe and dream of a nicer machine, some day.

Riccar is a better machine than a Singer. It was twice if not 3 times the cost of a Singer and the quality was always astronomical.

Like I said it is the Ferrari of the sewing machine world!

Thanks - you're making me feel better. :)

I will see about trying to get a pic here later.... my camera hasn't been working well and it's actually been years since I've posted a pic, so I'll have to figure it out again.
