    fabric for the pattern. I hardly ever buy fabric without a pattern in mind

    It all depends.

    Sometimes I fall in love with a pattern. Other times it is the fabric. I go where my passion leads me.

    Having said that ... now I go where I can use my stash the most efficiently to save for my special projects.

    You really need to choose your pattern and size first so you know how many differnt fabrics and yardage needed.

    I do what ever comes first sometimes it's fabric sometimes pattern

    I, usually, have a Bucket List - then get fabric. However, my son's DGF loves swirls so I do have the fabric - now need a contemporary pattern.
