I think I am a collector of fabric! I buy what appeals to me with no pattern in mind. I also buy patterns the same way. If I like the pattern, I will buy it. Then I try to put the 2 together! And if I don't have enough fabric for the project, gee...guess I need to buy more!

I pick the fabric first, that's why I have such a large stash. Then I wait for the right pattern to come along and sometimes this does not happen for a long time.

Both ways. Sometimes I see a fabric I just live without and then go looking for a pattern and other fabrics. Sometimes I find a pattern and then have to find the fabric. I can't see as either is right or wrong.

I pick out the pattern first and then dig in my stash for the fabric as I am on a fabric diet.... no new fabric till I emty a few boxes....Hubby's orders!

I usually pick the pattern first. I have a ton of patterns that I couldn't resist and will get around to making eventually. Today is the last day of work for me and then I will be Retired. So maybe I'll have more time to get around to those patterns
