congrats!! i've been looking @ the 8900. so want to take the plunge! i love my 6600 so much. she just keeps going without problems. question, i read you get 11 width @ the harp, is there additional height @ the harp on the 8900 vs the 6600 or 7700?

Sounds like you are going to have fun, enjoy it and congrats

Just finished doing some free motion quilting on the 8900. Absolutely love it! It does such a better job than I did on the 6600. However, I probably won't be playing with it too much until next weekend. My good sewing table needs the sewing machine hole widened by 1.25 inches so the 8900 fits in there. At the moment, it's in the middle of the kitchen table. My husband wants me to sell the 6600 after I make sure I love the new machine. I guess there's a limit to how many machines he figures I need

I have been slowly saving a bit here & a bit there for my dream machine a Janome 6600, but the other day I seen DH fighting with his computer (my old one since he bought me a new one) and thinking about him never saying a word about all the quilting notions & all the fabric I buy so I'm going to keep saving but buy him a new computer. I am saddened yet happy for him he'll be so surprised! He goes above and beyond for me everyday so it's not going to kill me to wait a few more years for a new machine. YES I love him to "pieces" evening if it's not "piecing" pieces.
