I heard thunder in the distance, and it began to rain here around 3 p.m., It's 4:30, and still raining. Such a welcome sight.

We got heavy rain for about 45 minutes around 5:00 a.m. here in North Central Arkansas. By the time the sun came up you couldn't tell it had rained at all....it just soaked in and disappeared because it was so dry. Nothing since that time and it doesn't look like any later tonight. Some of the trees in our woods are turning brown and our resident deer families have moved on to greener pastures.

We had 3 in. a couple of days ago. Supposed to have more Tues. thru Fri. We weren't desparate but it didn't hurt a thing. It did cool things down but made the humidity worse.

We've had two tiny showers (of mud) for a total of 432 drops.
