Fortunately there are so many other things to keep me happily busy, I don't miss being able to do this one. Congrats on your new skill and new love!!
If you should decide to try PPing again, be sure to get the 1/4" ruler (I also have the 1/8" one) as it can make all the difference of enjoying PPing and not…….one does tend to love it after achieving the knack……TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT !!!!

I used my standard 6 1/2 x 24 ruler to make the trimming straight. Will the 1/4" make things easier?

I used PP and the 1/4 in on the ruler when making blocks for the Farmers Wife. I never would have been able to do some of those blocks without paper piecing.

I think that the "add a 1/4" ruler would make things so much easier for you. It's fast and has the little lip along the edge for a perfect measurement and cutting. Other than that one, I have the 1/8" one and have also purchased the !/4" one that is 12" long…for larger PPing. Couldn't do it without these tools.
