It looks fine. But if you think it may be too busy, just work in a few solids in the same colors or coordinating neutrals to tone down the prints a little.

I think it looks really pretty. If your friend likes pink and brown she will love it!

I think it's great! Try laying it next to some solid pink or chocolate, which is what I would recommend for the border. That may calm it down enough for you to appreciate it.

Let us know what you decide, but I think you should finish.

You are getting some good advise. I tend to pick out fabrics that are too much alike, and I have learned the hard way that it is important to have contrast and interest in your quilts. I like Jeanne suggestion, give it a try. You might like it better or decide it look great right now. We'd love to see the finished product.

I absolutely love it! Finish it!!! . I think when you add the borders, it will add the perfect touch to let the eyes rest. After you finish the middle, maybe audition different widths, colors, ect for the borders. I love your plan to finish with a piano key border.

WOW! I love it. If your BFF really likes those colors stick with it. If you are new to quilting maybe those aren't your colors, or maybe the pattern isn't really your deep down style. From what you showed, no one would ever know that you are new to quilting. Good job.

I like it very much but would do solid borders rather than pieced.
