You are making it as a gift. you know that loves those colors are her favorite. she is gone to love it. You don't have to love it to make at for your BFF. Just think of the look of joy on her face when you give it to her.

Let me add my vote, for GORGEOUS, and keep going. I love pink and brown together and that bright pink is perfect.

The colors all blend well together. If you think it's too busy, try adding in some solid colors in the same pallet. Maybe that would help you like it better.

But I'd say your doing a great job!

You've had great suggestions. It is busy. I would not put the piano key border on it, but stick to more tone on tones. A solid chocolate outer border would look great quilted with pink thread.

I think I'm going to continue on it as planned and see what happens. Figured I've already cut everything and started piecing it... it would be a shame to rip it all out and scrap it.

If when all is said and done I don't think it'll be a good one for my BFF for Christmas, I still have plenty of time to try again
I love what you are making for your BFF! As someone else said, finish it, smile. Sometimes when I am doubting how my project is turning out, I put it up on the design wall and walk away. Every so often, I would look at it and, golly, it does look better and better! Sometimes I may twink it a bit or just leave it as is. Try it. Your BFF will love you for making such a neat quilt for her!

I think it'll be so pretty when you're done! As someone else mentioned, I'd use solid borders instead of piano keys though.

I really like your choice of colors and I like the way you have cut them into smaller squares and rectangles that I am used to seeing in jelly-roll quilts. However, the pieces that have white in them sparkle so nicely that I wonder if adding more white (either on its own or in prints) would help you feel more confident about it.
