It's awesome! Love the fabrics and it totally works, as it is. But if you feel it's too busy, you could try breaking it up by adding a narrow sashing on two sides of each block and make a "dancing" version of that same pattern. Look at how the white is used in this quilt:

I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I think it will be wonderful when you are finished. It reminds me of those coconut bonbons with the strawberry, vanilla and chocolate coatings and looks good enough to eat. LOL
I know it looks "busy" but that is necessary for those fabulous fabrics to share the limelight together. In the end, I think you will find it a harmonious busy-ness that is pleasing and lovely!

So glad you have decided to finish the quilt! I think your BFF will love the quilt. Applique her initials in chocolate in one corner on the front of the quilt.....this will make it even more personal.
