today a local church had their bi-annual rummage sale which i always go on half price day and usually get some decent material. this year they told me they had a lot of fabric so i went the first day on my lunch hour. spent fifteen dollars and got a bunch of stuff. the best part was a large plastic zippered bag that had a pattern for a potholder. i could tell there were some nice scraps in it and thought i can't go wrong for $1. when i opened it up at work i found pieced 8 inch square blocks. are you ready for this on top of the assortment of scraps there were 60 pieced 8 inch blocks!!!!! 40 were ohio star, 13 were buckeye beauty and 7 square in a square blocks. talk about shock -those ladies obviously did not look inside that bag before pricing it! i am so excited. gotta hide it from hubby cuz i told him i was not buying any material til thanksgiving!!!!
assorted batting $7.25
