    Default I'm so excited!!!

My daughter, who had adamantly insisted she doesn't like quilts and didn't want me to make one for her, told me last nite she has changed her mind and wants me to make one for her bedroom!!

I sent her to pinterest to look at quilts and this morning she sent me 8 she liked and said to pick which one I wanted to make, and listed the colors she would like: sage, mint, black and a little pink and gray.

This photo is the one she liked the best but thought it might be too hard for me to make. I thought I could adapt it by using snowball corners and it would be fine. I am debating between 12" blocks that would be 5 x 6 blocks or 8" blocks going 7 x8. Any input from you wonderful quilters out there?

Oh that will be lovely and fun to find the color in that one. I love black and white with an accent color.

Looks like one of Jenny's Urban quilts.

Thanks for that info MTS, I didn't think to have my DD get the info of where she found the quilts she liked. I will definitely be checking out her site!!

I had a similar experience with my costly daughter. She was just so blah about everything I did until she asked me for a quilt with particular colors in it. That's the finished quilt in my picture. it just totally changed her attitude and she shows it to everyone. I am very happy for you. I really considered this a big step for the two of us!!!

Another example of a "modern quilt" drawing in another young quilter! Yay! I love what she chose and it'll be fun with some pink added in.
