this probably should be in the general chit chit but anyway I've been gone for a while from the board cause I'm a flight attendant and just got back from a trip to Athens Greece and was trying to chill out before going to bed so I came here to catch up and I'm so jealous of all of you who have the time to quilt I love all the pictures of your quilts and the questions and answers sure have missed visiting
I'm off for a few day and need to finish my moms 80th b'day quilt then maybe I can get some pic of the finished project.

I know what you mean, I have recently had to spend a lot of time in Dr's waiting rooms and hospitals etc, and I am very tempted to begin a hand pieced project, a block that I can slip into my hand bag in a trice!! I thought to myself the other day, as I looked through dozens of waiting room magizines, ...... I should be quilting!! Every little stitch gets you sooner to the finishing line!

Not bitten by the bug or anything!!

PS Good Luck with your quilt, hope you will post when it is done!

How is your quilt coming along? Do you ever hand piece or hand quilt so you can take projects with you on small trips or breaks.

I used to make crafts on my lunch hour.

Please post picture when you are done, you could get you a small portable sewing machine to take with you. I see Joann's has one for $50.00. Penny

I would work fast on a quilt for an 80 year old person. I would think they may not have many years left to enjoy it.

I can't wait to see the finished quilt for your DM's 80th b-day. You never know how long someone will be around, my DGM will be 100 yrs. young this May. She's still in great health!
