I say keep them both, cover the new one with a quilt for a few days, he'll never know. But I like the idea of putting it at the door & saying it was at the curb.

I have a Domestic treadle. I love it - it's so much fun. :) Keep them both!

Keep them both, but if I had to choose, I'd keep the domestic. I would like to try a treadle someday, it looks like fun!

Since most men don't really notice anything, if he mentions it, act perplexed, tell him it came with the house and it's been there all along and he should really pay more attention. Or-use my mother's old act-whenever my dad went away without her, she always bought something new because she missed him and it made her feel better.

Oh- my 2 cents?? Keep them both!! LOL

As Frauhan said what I was thinking,(about most men not noticing anything and that's my DH to a tee) I just thought sometimes that's a blessing!!

I am so glad that I found this sight. Keep both machines, I learnt on a treadle and would love to have one. They are full of good memories. I have had a good laugh over this story.

Wow...I want to go on a trip with you...what great finds...keep both machines...what would happen if one breaks down and you need the other one...it is always a necessity to have a backup and one for the backup...etc. ... with your skills I bet you could talk your DH into anything...seriously, lol, sounds like you had a wonderful time... as they say: you go girl!
