Am I the only one? Was gifted some fabric that smelled a little musty so threw them in the dryer with some softener sheets and now they are nice and fresh! Excuse me - gotta go get the clothes off the line

My job growing up was to hang out wet clothes and take them in when they were dry, fold and then I had to iron out the million wrinkles in my clothes. That was tedious and time wasting. I hated that chore. I vowed I'd never do it when I had my own home as long as I had electricity. The smell of dried outside clothes reminds me of dread. LOL.

In the summer I hang my sheets out on the line. In the winter everything goes in the dryer.

I love the smell of sheets that's been hung out to dry, But I like the softness of the dryer far more.
no hanging out for me, except towels from the pool.

I like my jeans dried outside, same with the sheets, but my husband hates the sheets hung out, so they are always dried in the dryer.

I hate the stiffness of clothes hung out to dry. Also the Texas sun bleaches them so fast. I had a pair of Grey jeans I left outside all day and when I brought them in they were lighter on one side than the other!

I love the smell of line dried clothes and there aren't many days that I don't fill my Hills clothes line (best on the market). Our clothes line dry soft because there's always a wind in our hills. The only time that I don't hang out clothes is if the snow is too deep. I only use the dryer if they are a little damp or to dry DH's shirts because if you can grab them out of the dryer barely dry there's few wrinkles and little ironing to do!

i live in a place where there is a home owner association and clotheslines are not allowed. I really miss the clothesline and would have one back in a minute!
