Yes, I did it to one, for a young boy.

flames, red orange, and the blue had one at the top and one that should have gone to the top, I put on the bottom.

haa what fun

guilty-put the little saw blades/toes facing the wrong way--
i was finishing up a scrappy & purposely put them on wrong, my thinking being--who's gonna notice that???

Even designers make mistakes. I took a class with Charlotte Angotti and (can't remember the pattern) the quilt on the cover had a block wrong. She says her quilter notices it all the time, but Charlotte doesn't let that bother her! If it's good enough for a designer, it's good enough for me! (LOL)

Some of the Native Americans do add a differernt color bead to their work, to show they are not perfect, that only God can make something perfect.

If a piece were sewn inside out or a block sewed upside down, maybe I'd rip it out and resew it, and maybe I would not. It would all depend on how noticeable it was and how much trouble it would be to take out and redo.

To intentionally set a block in wrong would be a "false humility block," in my opinion, because what it says is that I have to set out to do something imperfectly because I'm so good that I will otherwise make something that's perfect. :shock:

Don't worry about the imperfections. Do whatever you do with a cheerful heart and your best effort and God will make it beautiful. :)

I often leave a mistake in beause it makes it "home made" though I have never done it deliberately, but since I am far from perfect, I don't have to. :lol: :lol:
